When the Moon Is Hidden, Let Care Find Them
Amavasya Gau Seva and Cow Treatment Campaign by Dreamer Trust
An injured cow can spend hours beside a busy road. People may notice her limping as they pass, but she may still be there after dark, struggling to put weight on one leg. A bowl of water can ease her thirst. To find out what is causing her pain and help her recover, she needs veterinary attention.
This Amavasya, Dreamer Trust invites you to support Gau Seva for injured, sick, and vulnerable cows. Your contribution can help provide veterinary care, nutritious fodder, and the daily attention a cow may need while she heals. For an animal in pain, that care can mean being able to stand more comfortably, eat again, or rest somewhere safe.
Why We Serve on Amavasya
For many families, Amavasya is a day of prayer, remembrance, and giving. Gau Seva is one way to observe the day by caring for a living being in need. An injured cow may spend the evening looking for somewhere quiet to lie down. A weak cow may walk past several shops before finding water. This Amavasya, you can help meet those immediate needs and support the care that follows.
What Your Donation Can Support
Each cow needs care suited to her condition. A cow with an open wound may need cleaning and repeat dressings. A cow that has grown too weak to keep up with the herd may need regular feeding and close observation. Contributions to this campaign can help meet needs such as the following.
- Veterinary examinations to assess injuries, illness, or difficulty standing and walking.
- Medicines and dressing supplies for treatment recommended by a veterinarian.
- Nutritious fodder and clean water for cows that need regular feeding and hydration during recovery.
- Follow-up care such as repeat dressings, monitoring appetite, and watching for changes in movement or comfort.
Healing Takes Daily Care
The days after the first veterinary visit often involve simple tasks that need to be done consistently. Someone has to check whether the cow has eaten, refill her water, and see if she is putting weight on the injured leg. If her appetite drops or she has more trouble standing, those changes can help the veterinarian decide what she needs next.
Progress can be quiet. A cow finishes her fodder after leaving it untouched the day before. She takes a few steadier steps or lies down and rests without shifting every few minutes. Regular care gives her time to recover and helps caregivers notice when she needs more attention.
