Standing Strong in Times of Crisis

Dreamer Trust maintains a dedicated volunteer task force trained and prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to natural disasters and humanitarian crises, including cyclones and public health emergencies such as COVID-19. The primary objective of this programme is to provide immediate relief—ensuring access to food, safe drinking water, and essential supplies—to affected communities during times of crisis.

Beyond emergency response, the initiative focuses on supporting disaster-affected individuals and families in regaining stability, restoring dignity, and returning to normal daily life.

Key Interventions

  • Rapid emergency response and relief distribution
  • Provision of dry rations, cooked food, drinking water, and essential kits
  • Community-based volunteer mobilization across multiple regions
  • Support for early recovery and rehabilitation

COVID-19 Response

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dreamer Trust delivered essential food supplies to vulnerable populations across multiple locations in North 24 Parganas—including Madhyamgram, Barasat, Duttapukur, Deganga, Nilganj, Khardah, Dakshineswar, Panihati, Sodpur, and surrounding areas—reaching thousands of individuals in urgent need.

Cyclone Yaas Relief (2021)

In response to Cyclone Yaas, Dreamer Trust conducted large-scale relief operations in the coastal regions of Digha and Tajpur, supporting over 500 affected families. Relief efforts included the distribution of dry food, drinking water, raw food supplies, and baby care kits. Additional relief missions were also carried out in other severely affected areas.

The ‘DREAMER TRUST’ volunteer is fully prepared to respond quickly and effectively during any disaster. We also provide assistance to individuals and families affected by any disaster to enable them to resume their normal daily activities independently.

Covid-19
During the Covid-19 epidemic, we continued to provide food and cooked rations to the needy people in different areas of West Bengal.

Yash Cyclone
Strong cyclone Yash hit Digha and Mandarmani areas of East Midnapore district, West Bengal. The landfall of Yash meets the high tide and causing the dam to break and causing massive flooding. Water dams flood the land, causing extensive damage to agriculture, property and homes. Being an active NGO, Dreamer Trust reached Digha and Mandarmani and we distributed ration kits (Chira, Biscuits, Drinking water, Muri, Batasa etc.) to 500 families in Digha and 500 families in Mandarmani.
