Drishti Shakti (Empowering Vision, Empowering Education)

What is Drishti Shakti?

Drishti Shakti is a school-based health initiative dedicated to promoting eye health among children in primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools. The project aims to detect and address vision problems at an early stage, especially among students from underserved and rural communities, so that no child’s education is hindered due to poor eyesight.

Our Objectives:

  • Early screening of visual impairments among school children
  • Free eye check-up camps in collaboration with certified optometrists and ophthalmologists
  • Distribution of spectacles and referral for advanced eye treatment where required
  • Health education sessions to raise awareness about hygiene and preventive eye care
  • Collaboration with schools and local health departments to build a sustainable vision-care ecosystem

Why Vision Care Matters

Thousands of students in India suffer from undetected vision issues, which directly affect their academic performance, concentration, and overall well-being. Drishti Shakti bridges the gap by bringing essential eye care services right to their schools — empowering vision, empowering education.
